Renne was as excited to see Santa as any other child would be. He had a big white bushy beard and moustache, just as Estelle had told her he would. He wore a thick red fur-lined coat and matching gloves, carrying with him a large briefcase. Renne had always thought a big brown sack was a little impractical, you'd break your stuff dragging it around with no protection like that, and besides, it kind of made you look like a burglar. His sleigh also looked suspiciously like the SSS cop car but she didn't want to look a potential gift horse, or whatever was in those large crates loaded into the back seats, in the mouth. After she hugged him and sat on his lap (she wasn't stupid, so she had several knives hidden in her stockings and her orbal device was charged to give Santa a new red nose, Volcanic Rain style, if he tried anything funny), he opened the briefcase and took out what looked like a control device. Pressing a few switches on it, he bowed as the crates began to open and several marionettes walked out, under their own power, dancing and twirling and doffing their top hats to her.
She giggled, then declared that she had, of course, known it was Mr. Rosenberg all along.
