A fill for [community profile] picture_prompt_fun and [community profile] fffc advent calendars, day 13

When he'd heard that the residents of Saturn Valley were in need of help again, he'd caught the next train out of town, the red one to save money. Snow had settled on everything he could see out of the window - the platform, the station buildings, the neat rows of trees and lamps. As he came closer to the Valley, he saw that it had hit them a lot worse, clumped up in a small space as they were, with such tiny houses for tiny people. The snow nearly buried their houses, leaving only little patches of roof. A few attempts had been made to clear it, involving strapping things to balloons and bird cages in order to lift them, as well as a few other nonsensical contraptions that, miraculously, sort of half worked if you were a Mister Saturn. Actually, Duster was impressed that they managed to get anything done when they seemed to have no discernable arms and couldn't even bite things effectively because their noses were so huge. No doubt he'd be required to do most of the heavy lifting, probably cobble something together out of the planks and wall spikes he carried around with him everywhere. Why they always asked for the guy with a dodgy leg, he had no idea - they could ask Flint or Lighter or Fuel or... heck, most of the villagers knew basic DIY, but no, they wanted their buddy Duster. He grumbled about this for a while under his breath, then switched to complaining about the snow. There shouldn't be snow. Snow never happened here. The weather, the environment in general, everything felt wrong since they started pulling out the pins. Or maybe this was how the world was supposed to be and it was all the messing around that people like Porky did that was starting to unravel. Well, he thought as he limped off the train, I'm gonna complain about it either way, so there.
