Title: Flood Break
Fandom: original
Character: original
Length: 109
Rating: G
For a moment, she felt it all: trickles running through rocks and off cliffs in tiny, shimmering waterfalls; babbling brooks running through sunlit forest, cascading over shelves of rocks; broad rivers bearing boats and serene swans as they meandered through rich farmland.
She dug deeper, into the flows of water underground, feeding, or not, the wells and springs of the land. Nina felt it too. They started to feed the water downward, and felt the flood slacken. Down, down, down, Jonnet urged it onward.
"Enough!" said Karl sharply.
Jonnet blinked. They had succeeded, if anything, too well; rocks were prominent in the stream ahead. Still, they could sail onward.
