Professor Alba looked down at his watch again. Powered by the height of miniaturised orbal technology, Reinford's latest innovation, it kept perfect time. He had tested it out many times, such as when Renne had her little tea party and needed some fireworks planting. Now the timing was even more crucial but he had utmost faith in the technology he had a hand in pushing forward the development of himself.

The museum he had just stepped out of was hosting an exhibition about ancient Zemurian civilisations and the artifacts they had left behind. Professor Alba was good at faking that his enthusiasm for any matter to do with societies that were vastly superior to the current state of affairs, where they had ultimately gone wrong despite their inherent greater worth and what could have been done differently to keep them afloat, was merely a matter of academic curiosity, perhaps mixed with some desire to do good in the world. Well, it was technically true that he wanted to improve the world but he doubted that the ignorant masses would thank him for it, at least not until the collective human consciousness had been elevated to a level where they could properly appreciate his work.

The individual he had arranged to meet was just turning the corner, his own timing impeccable as always. He had just waved goodbye to the young woman he was always with, the one he was growing annoyingly close to, as if he really needed to complicate his life THAT much. No matter, thought the Professor, once his true self was awakened again, he would be able to leave this facade of a life behind. The girl would come after them, of course - her being the daughter of THAT man was even more of a concern - but there were certain things that could be done about it, distractions that could be put in place.

Professor Alba put on his best benevolent smile and walked towards the boy. Joshua's eyes had already lit up with suspicion and he was glaring at the historian, about to yell something, when Alba activated the stigma inserted deep in his unconscious mind and watched him freeze in tracks.
