Title: Our Island Paradise
Dogi sat cross-legged on the edge of the cliff, looking out towards the boundless sea and sky, where the sun had set into a giant pool of golden fire. Adol lay down with his head propped up on Dogi's lap, worn out from the previous battle with the worryingly enormous fish that Sahad had hauled out of the water and the swordsman had helped to subdue before it ate them all first. With Ricotta's help, Sahad had gutted the fish and was roasting it over the campfire. Delicious scents now emanated behind them.
Seiren Island would be a paradise, mused Dogi, if it weren't for the giant fish. Also the giant everything else that wanted to kill them, especially those angry lizard things, and the fact that they couldn't leave, that there had been a murderer among them and the rest of the castaways still didn't trust each other, and finally that the murderer had been their only doctor and they were running out of medical supplies even if they did still have a doctor, which was awkward when you kept being attacked by giant angry lizards.
Apart from that, it was a dream come true, being on a deserted island with the man he loved. It was beautiful - the clear blue water, the enchanted forest glades, the hidden pools and waterfalls. Adol probably fantasized about scenarios like this all the time, Dogi guessed. It wouldn't be long before it occurred to the young man that he was stuck here and that meant he couldn't go adventuring anywhere else, in which case he'd start to go crazy from cabin fever like quite a few people seemed to be doing. Dogi would have to be there for him, his solid, reliable wall, one who happened to be skilled at destroying other walls that were annoying them. Right now, though, Adol was still delirious with the excitement of having an entire unexplored island full of outlandish sights and impossibly large beasts for him to pick fights with.
It was exactly Adol's idea of a fun date. Dogi would prefer hitting the taverns back in Promarock, which may have ended up with the same amount of fighting and falling into the sea but would also have involved copious amounts of beer.
"Our alcohol supplies are running dangerously low as well," he muttered to himself thoughtfully, stroking a lock of Adol's beautiful red hair.
"Well, if we got some spring water, some of those berries, the white flowers and the venom from one of the giant blue toads..." murmured the adventurer.
"No," Dogi replied flatly.
