Sometimes it made him sad, how much time he’d wasted. He had wanted to paint when he was younger but there was never time. There were always hours to work, people to network with, wealth to accumulate. It was a never-ending spiral. Until it did end. Until he lost everything. That was when he picked up a paintbrush for the first time in over thirty years. He was still in the hospital, still recovering from the accident. They had wanted him to do something creative, to help him get better, help him move on. It even helped, for a while.
